Support Coordination

Under the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Support Coordination refers to assistance to strengthen participant’s abilities to coordinate and implement supports and participate more fully in the community. This can includethe following:
  • Initial Assistance with linking participants with the right providers to meet their needs.
  • Assistance to source providers, coordinating a range of supports both funded and mainstream.
  • Building on informal support, resolving points of crisis, parenting training and developing participant resilience in their own network and community.
Subsequent to your plan approvalbythe NDIA, Dexter Carecan work with youtohelp interpret the plan,determine how your funds will be spent and connectyouwith services toenable you achieveyour support goalsasset out in your NDIS plan. Essentially taking out the pressure of organising your supports.
Our well qualified Support Coordinators will assist participants in navigating the intricacies of NDIS service arrangements. Primarily negotiating service agreements with preferred providers, organising service bookings and strengthening participants’ capacity to coordinate their own support. We will endeavour to assist you realise your goals and that you receive high-quality services in the process.
